Hungry Horse Dam, Rocky Mountain Montana

Hungry Horse Dam is a hydroelectric dam, built with the basic purposes as irrigation projects, hydroelectric power, flood control and river flow regulation, Hungry Horse Dam is located on the South Fork Flathead River in the Rocky Mountains, Montana.

Hungry Horse Dam has a height 564 feet, which accommodates 2.9345 million cubic meters of water. so that the Hungry Horse Dam can produce about one billion kilowatt hours each year, not only in the Hungry Horse Dam, this dam also store and release water for downstream hydroelectric dams such as the Flathead, Clark Fork, and the columbia River.

And now, Hungry Horse Dam is used as a tourist attraction for many people, both nature lovers, as well as researchers from the university.
