Parque National Tayrona much visited by tourists for its beaches and natural beauty. This place is a protected area in the northern Colombian Caribbean region and within the jurisdiction of the Department of Magdalena and some 34 km from the city of Santa Marta, the park has an area of 150 square kilometres. The most important of these areas are pre Hispanic ruins of Pueblito called Chairama. This area was once territory Indian Tayrona.
